Merry Christmas to all of our loved ones! We hope you all are enjoying time together as we pause to remember the great gift that Jesus is to us and how many things we have to be thankful for! It has been fun reading all the cards we have been receiving and catching up on everyone's lives. We are staying home this year for Christmas (the first time we have done so in our 10 years of marriage) and we are looking forward to starting some of our own traditions and just relaxing as a family.
Just wanted to update you on the adoption news. You might have seen in the news that China this month has decided to change their adoption regulations and make it basically more difficult to adopt from there starting May of 2007. So, we are thankful that we are so close to the end of the process and won't be affected by those changes. Our agency is telling us that we should receive our picture of Malea by the end of January and we hope that happens. This has been a very long process and so it is hard to get too excited about anything until it is the real deal!
I will try to post some pictures of the girls soon. They are singing in a Christmas choir at church on Sunday so we are looking forward to seeing that. We just went to see Charlotte's Web today and that was a good movie!
We thank the Lord for all of you and at this time of year especially we are grateful for all that we have been given and for His faithfulness in our lives.
In His love
Marc and Abby
