Well, Ab has done most of the posting lately. I always enjoy reading her posts. It's funny - Abby so beautifully captures the highlights of the process in our blog that as I read them I temporarily forget the chaos of every day "pre-adoption life." While staring blankly at the computer screen I am awakened from my dreamy state by a blur in the corner of my eye. I turn to look and see nothing. Moments later I see another blur going down the stairs. Just a few seconds later the blur comes back up the stairs and stops in front of me long enough to ask me if I can mow the lawn, wash the windows, put bark in the flower beds, and put the crib together to get ready for Malea. As quick as it came, the blur is gone leaving me wondering about what I just saw and if it was serious about the lawn since it's still winter. Just to be safe - I mow the lawn.
I am continually amazed at the joy our family is experiencing as we anticipate Malea. I am also amazed, however, at the work involved in preparing for the journey! Our family is excited beyond words, but I gotta tell you it is a lot of work. Abby is carrying the vast majority of the preparatory burden and is doing an amazing job. This is indeed a team effort but every team needs a play maker.
So, as the husband behind this deal, I am very proud of my wife and am thankful for the love that motivates her every day. As for my role, I do all I can. Though I sometimes wonder what washing the second story windows has to do with preparing for Malea, I've learned the secret of success........"yes dear."
Love ya, Ab!

What a FUN post!! I am sure that my husband can relate....keep up the YES DEAR, this is just Abby's pre-delivery working mode. Let us know if we can help in any way!!
The Jenkins clan send their love, support and regards! Looking forward to tracking your trip along the way. We're all fine back here. Kevin has upgraded all our company cars to Hummers; but I know you'll be disappointed because they're only H3s.
Good luck picking up your girl; you're in our thoughts and prayers!
