The trip began in Miami and the kids were quickly cultured. Note to parents - if you'd like to give your kids ten years of exposure in an hours time, take them to South Beach. For example, our kids had never seen an overweight man in a tutu walking the sidewalks before. Now they have. They had never seen a music video being shot in a street. Now the have. They had never seen a topless model being photographed live on the beach. Now they have. They have never been to counseling to talk through a traumatic experience. Soon they will.
Miami was fun. Hotels, pools, water slide, lazy rivers, and nice dinners. Good times. Oh ya, Malea got her fever there.
Then we took the flight to Cancun. Cancun was a blast at an all-inclusive resort. The weather was hot, the food was abundant, and the swimming pools were soothing. Our time included all you can eat buffets, swimming at the beach, going to a water park, petting dolphins, having dinner on a pirate ship, jet skiing, and all kinds of other things. We also went to the doctor four times.
Yes, four times we saw the doctor. Malea's fever turned into strep throat. She kept saying her throat was "hot" and she stopped eating because it hurt. This lasted three days. I procrastinated going to the doctor as long as I could in efforts to break our medical tradition (and break the pot for you gamblers) but I had to give in. I'm glad I did. The medication worked wonders. Two days later Malea
We had a great time. We always enjoy traveling with State Farm and seeing our friends and associates. We were blessed with the opportunity. But, we are glad to be home.
So, keep your ear out for any future Spear family travel plans. You just may be the next big winner of the Spear family sweepstakes. But just be forewarned, I'll be doing all I can to create a sweepstakes upset.
