Today we went to the picninc at Malea's adoption agency, CCAI. We are really glad we were able to go and see the agency and let Malea have the experience of seeing many other Chinese children who have similiar stories to her. She seemed pretty unphased by the whole thing and in typical fashion was pretty talkative to the people she met.
The agency itself was very nice, set up well and it was fun to look around. There is a new building now where they have a Chinese cultural school where many of the kids that live around here are able to attend classes there and learn Mandarin, Chinese culture, dance etc...pretty cool!
We were able to see 3 or 4 families from our travel group which was great to reconnect with them and see their little girls. There were many game stations with prizes and a couple jumpy houses so the girls had alot of fun. Here are a bunch of pictures. Mom, I made sure to say hello to everyone and they all passed on their love to you. Kyle was there with Eliza and Jane was at work so she wasn't able to make it.
Here is one hall of many that are filled with pictures of all the little Chinese girls that have been adopted through this agency. It was neat to see how many girls have been given homes this way and how many lives have been changed through adoption.
We all got airbrush tattoos and here we are modeling them.

Malea and Ashley (another little friend from her orphange). I think they would be good friends if we lived close because Ashley is just as energetic and chatty as Malea! :)
Our family with Josh and Lilly the founders of CCAI. They really have a great heart for Chinese orphans and have just recently opened up and adoption program in Haiti since Chinese adoptions have been so difficult to accomplish lately. The average wait for China is now 4-5 years.
