Happy New Year everyone! I think it has been a couple of years since Marc and I have actually stayed awake until 12 AM on New Years ( pitiful, I know!) but tonight we told the two older girls they could try to stay up and watch movies until midnight, so I guess that means we have to too! :) Right now we are watching a movie and I am trying to multitask as usual and update our blog which has been neglected lately. We spent New Year's Eve day in Missoula at First Night Missoula which is an annual tradition in this town but the first time we have participated. Basically it is an all day affair where you pay one price and you can see different performances of music groups, dancers, go iceskating and many other family friendly activities. Kiersten's ballet studio had a performance today so we went and saw her in that and here are some pics from the rest of the day.

Iceskating! Malea actually went and made it around the rink one time with me holding her up the entire time ( that was fun!) and then we decided that maybe we would come back another time when they had skates available in Marc's size to rent and he could help her! :) I don't think he was too dissapointed that there were no skates in his size! Unfortunately we didn't get a pic of Malea on the ice, I think Marc was videotaping her instead.

Malea's first pony ride!

Can we say "ATTITUDE"?

Kiersten and her dancing friend Anna getting ready to do the Jitterbug for the tap recital. She is growing up so fast! Wish we had more dancing pics but during the performance it was hard to get pics of her onstage.

The 2 younger girls made masks while Kiersten was rehearsing. To ring in the new year there is a masquerade ball downtown but we just made the masks for fun!

Hi Abby - really nice to read about your family and what's happening in your lives. I found your blog through Rachel! I just started blogging myself and am really loving it. My blog is:
http://ponderingalongthejourney.blogspot.com if you want to check it out. All is well here in BC. My parents are retiring at the end of January and Danielle and her husband are having a little girl in Feb. So we are excited. I am teaching in the public school district close to where I live. God's blessings to you all this 2010!
