Dinner by Kiersten

I was making salmon to grill last night for dinner and Kiersten told me that she wanted to cook dinner for Marc and I. Here is the result. She set the table herself, made a salad, crackers and cheese for an appetizer and potatoes. And dessert was a double chocolate pie. She did a great job, Marc and I were pleasantly surprised.:)
We were told we had to change our outfits to what she had picked out and also write eachother a love letter to put on our plates. Pretty cute, times like these make you realize that the sometimes frustrating parts of parenting are all worth it.
In case you were wondering, no, we didn't drink 3 bottles of wine...... she felt the need to put out the 3 bottles of wine that we have had sitting around for months.

Can she come and cook dinner for us? I guess that's the difference between girls and boys. So sweet!

Kiersten, you are so sweet and I am impressed with your cooking abilities! Ab, you've trained her well to cook, "creatively" serve and to be thoughtful with the note idea! Cute!

Kiersten is maturing into a fine young lady. I was so impressed with the 1 1/2 pages of notes she took at skullchurch on last Wed. The pastor would have been really impressed to know that a soon to be 11 yr old was coherantly recording his thoughts.

Way to go Kiersten, we miss you! I love that she made you write love notes too. We are wanting to stop in and see the Spear family if you will be around the end of June or after the 4th of July. Take care! So fun!

P.S. I hear ya on the little treasures amongst the trials of parenting, they get us through :)
