The Spear Clan: Hawaii trip post #3 - Waiting for the Tsunami that Never Came

Woke up this morning to the Tsunami sirens going off on the island. I guess the large earthquake in Chile set off concern that there would be a large wave hitting the Hawaiian islands around 11 AM. I must say that even though we weren't concerned for our personal safety because we had plenty of warning, the sirens were very loud and along with the loudspeakers telling us to evacuate to higher ground, it was a little unnerving.... Dad being silly leaving our condo, didn't forget his tub of licorice. :)

This picture of us 3 sisters is completely DORKY, just trying to pass the day by taking a silly picture while we sat up at the top of a hill for about 4 hours. We were prepared in case we had to swim. :)

Making our way up the hill with all of our important belongings in case the worst case scenario came true. I must say the Hawaii is a good place to be if there is a true tsunami because they were very well organized in their evacuation procedures and everyone stayed really calm.
