Tonight is our last night here. We went out with our travel group for a farewell dinner and now I think we are all packed up! This afternoon we visited the US Consulate and took our oath of adoption with many other families. After the oath they handed us Malea's Chinese passport, so now we are officially able to leave the country with her.:) When we go throught customs tomorrow ( or whatever day it will be) in LA , she becomes a US citizen as soon as we walk through the customs area. So, she will have dual citizenship the rest of her life, unless China changes the laws.
I can say for all of us that we are so excited to be coming home. I know it will be a very tiring trip and please pray for safety and smooth flights. Only 3 more airplanes to get on ( believe me, I have been keeping track!:) ) I think we all are feeling pretty healthy at this point, so that is good. THANKS for all your encouraging comments and I am sorry we haven't responded to all of them, we have just been busy but we do so love hearing from all of you!
Once we get back we will update the blog and then it will probably be pretty sporadic after that while we get over jet lag, etc.. I just wanted to publicly thank my mom also for all her help on this trip, it meant so much to have her with and she was a huge help, so thanks mom and love you lots!!

We're praying for a safe journey home and lots of chance to rest when you're back. We can't wait to come for our visit in June and hear all your stories and see all your pics/video.

Just remember to not feel bad about being tired and wanting to stay home and just have some family time. Everyone will just have to understand. We love you and are praying that you will get the rest you need to recoupe fully from this GREAT ADVENTURE, we have been BLESSED to travel along via computer. When Malea takes a nap Abby should take naps too (NO GUILT). We would be happy to have both BIG girls over to play too whenever needed!! Love & Prayers
