Today was our last day here. We have had a great time here, but we are looking forward to getting back to our own beds. I forgot to put a couple pictures in yesterday of our visit to the Pueblo Indian Cave dwellings. These are homes built by the Indians many many years ago and the girls enjoyed exploring them along with the native American dancers that were there.
Today we spent most of the day at the Royal Gorge which is about 45 minutes southwest of CO Springs. There is a huge suspension bridge which I believe is the largest one in the world. We walked across the bridge and then took the tram back over the canyon, I was praying the whole time! Here are a few pics.
This is a view from this really steep train ride we took to the bottom of the canyon of the Arkansas river ( it was basically standing in these cages while it took you down a 45 degree angle slope to the bottom of the canyon).
The tram that we rode across the canyon. YIKES! :)
Tomorrow we are going to bite the bullet and try to drive home in one day, probably about a 14-15 hour drive so hopefully we can stay awake!
