Sui Jia Yi

We have been feeling like the Lord wants us to adopt again from China for a few months now. For quite a while after Malea joined our family we felt like we were a "complete family" and had no intention of adding to our size. But for reasons only the Lord knows we have felt it impressed on us that we should adopt again. We have been so blessed by having little Malea be part of our family and God has used her to allow us to get a small glimpse of his heart for the fatherless and how much He loves us.

Because the wait to adopt a healthy child from China has now unfortunately grown to 4-5 years because of alot of political reasons, and there are so many little kids there with minor medical special needs who need a home, we have chosen to be matched with a child who need some type of medical intervention.

We were asked by our agency a couple of weeks ago if we would accept a referral of a little girl who is 2 years old named Sui Jiayi. She has been in the orphanage since birth and has a cleft lip that will require surgery. We feel blessed to have her join our family and are now pursueing all the paperwork needed to complete the adoption. We have been told that we probably won't be able to pick her up for approx a year so we are hoping that process might be sped up a little, maybe the Lord has a little miracle for us up his sleeve. :) Besides surgery she will need some speech therapy for a while since her lip and palate will have slowed down her progress in that area.

We will be praying for your family and your new beautiful daughter, and can't wait to hear and see updates of the miracles God is going to do!
