Hawaii trip post #2

Today we went to a place called the Blue Lagoon. This is an awesome place that you have to find out about from the locals and walk about a mile in over the lava rock because there is no road that reaches it. But, the walk is SO worth it! The water as you will see is a beautiful color and it is a great place to swim because it is so protected. Look at that water... You just have to swim in it! That is dad waving in the background. :)
There were about 12 of these sea turtles just snoozing on the beach. They are so cute and mellow. It is illegal to touch them in Hawaii but it was tempting. After we were there for a while they decided to head on back in to the water.

Isn't he cute?? For a reptile anyway... most other animals in this class don't fit in the "cute" category.

Such an incredible and wonderful trip it looks like you had :) I could not have resist touching the turtles. I just finished a kindergarten unit on turtles and they are very amazing incredible creatures to learn about. So glad you had a wonderful time, I must say I am a bit jealous. I also wanted to let you know that I will get the blessing quilt fabric in the mail this next week. It has been one crazy quarter :)
