So, life had been a little hectic around here the last couple weeks since we returned from our overseas jaunt.
Adjusting to a new toddler in the family is going well and we love her to pieces, don't get me wrong. It is still alot of "new stuff" to get used to.
We have had a few Dr appts and trying to schedule different things like speech therapy evaluation ,calling insurance companies and testing takes a little time.
We are homeschooling this year which has actually been fun and the older 2 are doing really well, despite interruptions from the younger two. It is time consuming and my day looks VERY different than it used to.
Marc has been out of town quite a bit since we returned.
When I look at the state of flux our family is in, no wonder I am feeling a little stressed out at times.
I think that K and M can sense that and tonight after supper they started cleaning up the kitchen like they normally do. I was told that I wasn't allowed to come into the kitchen though for like an hour.
When I finally was allowed to enter, they proudly showed me how they had cleaned up all the dinner mess, organized the fridge, reorganized the pantry and mopped the floor. "We just wanted to do this mom because you seem a little tired" is what they told me.
How do they know that acts of service is one of my main love languages?:) It is in times like these that I see God's love for me through my children and I am so thankful for the blessing of being a mom.
I am writing this down not to brag on my kids but so that I can go back and read this post on a day when I need to be encouraged to keep going. Keep teaching, keep getting up early for quiet times, keep trying to bite my tongue when it wants to bite someone else, keep wiping noses and other places, just keep on being a mom with the Lord's help ( and boy do I need it).
Anyway, thanks to K and M for being so sweet and so helpful and for showing me God's love through your example!!
