Passport Day

Hi everyone
We went to the passport office today with several other families to apply for Elani's passport. The girls went swimming in the pool for a couple hours this morning ( they wish it was longer.)

Elani seems to be doing well so far. We hope that she starts eating something other then the rice porridge that the orphanage fed her. That is the only thing she will allow in her mouth so we are praying before we travel home that she becomes a little more open to some other foods so that traveling is a little easier.

We were discussing today ideas of what she might like to eat and Malea said: "Mom, I have an idea, why don't you just go on the internet and google what babies with cleft palate like to eat." OK , glad you thought of that Malea, maybe that is a good idea!

Thanks for all your comments, it is encouraging and we look forward to reading them every day!

Praying for that sweet girl, specifically that she will eat other things. Continuing to pray for your family through the time of adjustments, sounds like everyone is doing very well with all of it. It's been so fun traveling to China with you. We LOVE you and pray the rest of your journey is SWEET! Enjoy the pool, it is raining here and school starts tomorrow :) I think I'd rather be in CHINA :)

OK you got my Bapak mind working and have a solution from raising 3 girls in the jungle. How about gradually smooshing new food types into rice porridge to camo the flavor/texture change. Love and hugs to all.

You are going to have sooo much help raising Elani. Malea won't know life without Google. :) The girls are so sweet with Elani. The picture with Malea's hand over Elani's playing with the book was precious. Hugs to all the girls!
Love ya!!
