At the White Swan

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post to let you know that we arrived safely in Guangzhou tonight and are all checked into our rooms at the beautiful White Swan Hotel. I do feel relief to be here. Everyone is doing well, a little tired and Madison threw up on the flight here but I don't think she is going to be near as sick as Kiersten was. We have a busy morning tomorrow with Malea's physical and visa paperwork and we will post more after that. We so love reading everyone's comments, you have no idea how encouraging they are when we feel so far away!

Love
Abby (PS - MaryAnn, that is great that you gave Ms Stephenson the website, I hope she can check it out. Kiersten really misses her friends and is anxious to see the class again!)

Thanks for the update. I wanted to let you know that Children's Church prayed for your family yesterday and especially for good health. Enjoy your stay at the White Swan! Susan

The name of your hotel sounds peaceful and clean! Hopefully those are two things you'll experience more of during your stay. Can't wait to see more pictures of all of you. And, I really can't wait to talk to you again. You're in our prayers all day. Love you, Auntie Rachel

In a word - Wow! Malea looks amazing! I think she will fit right in and I am so excited for her first Alaskan trip. (I know that will be a ways from now) As best I can tell Grandpa Hogie seems to be behaving but make sure to ask about his Alaskan driving. All blessings on you guys on the remainder of your time in China! Much Love to you, Dave Eller

Hi Kiersten and Maddie!
This is Madelyn! I can't believe the sky is so yucky where Malea is from. She is sooooooo cute! I can't wait to see you guys and meet Malea soon. It looks like she loves being with you! I want to play with her too!
When I saw the pictures of your mom talking to the people, I wanted to know how you usually talk to them. It seems like it's really hard. I thought the chicken leg story was really funny!!
I sure hope that you're feeling good now. I know how it feels to have a bad tummy ache, but not when you have to go to a hospital in China! I could tell that it was so dirty. I'm glad you are feeling better. Alex just said, "love you, miss you!"
We hope to see you soon! Have a great trip back to Washington!
Love,
Madelyn & Alex

Hey Spear gang,

I'm glad you guys are all hanging in there and doing better. Malea looks awesome! I know you are proud. I was wondering, would you mind bringing back one of those chicken legs? Looks delicious! hmm! I don't think you can get those over here!

Looking forward to hearing the stories and seeing you on the 19th.

Safe travels,
Scott
