Courtroom visit

We finally finished the process of readopting Malea in Montana. She is already a US citizen but did not have an official birth certificate. We had to fill out some paperwork and hire an attornery to help us obtain a Montana birth certificate that will be necessary in the future. We took the girls out of school for our visit to the courtroom and I think it was a good experience for them to be there. Kiersten asked "are we going to get arrested?" The judge was really friendly and even came down from his bench for a family photo op!

So, as far as we know there will be no more paperwork to do for Malea's adoption. She is doing great and we feel blessed to have her as part of our family!

Chinese New Year is January 26th and we plan to have our first of many Chinese New Year dinners at our house so we will let you know how it all turns out! :)
