Fun on the slopes

Maddie on first run of day

Getting ready to hit the slopes! Here comes Kiersten!

Today we let the girls play hookie from school and went with some homeschooling friends to the Discovery ski area. On Mondays homeschooled kids can come and have discounted ski lessons for a couple hours and then ski the rest of the day with their families. The girls had a great time and seemed to pick up skiing really quickly. It is amazing how quickly kids learn new stuff, I think the first time I skiied I was 18 or so and it was much more intimidating to me! :)

Marc was able to ski on his own during their lesson with his friend Andy and Malea and I hung out in the lodge with Andy's wife Jen and their baby. It was a beautiful sunny day and in the mid 30's so a great temp for the kids to be out in.

Both the girls did have a few wipe outs and Kiersten is limping on one leg because she tweeked one of her knees, nothing a little Tylenol won't take care of (we hope).

Getting up at the crack of dawn and getting home after dinner time makes for a long day so we are all heading to bed a little early tonight!
