Hello again from......Montana?

Hello friends, family, and lost bloggers,

Negligence does not come close to describing the absence of blogger attention I have given this site over the last few months. I suppose when we returned from China we were so consumed with diapers, bottles, diapers, sippy cups, and diapers we kinda lost track of time. Time for us no longer depended or functioned around the hands of a clock. Rather, time for us revolved around what time Malea woke up, what time she napped, whether she got a good nap, snacks (morning and afternoon), and bed time. We had no idea how much having a toddler would revolutionize (polite word for scramble) our lives. It was a scrambling, however, that we have come to prefer and cherish over any organized, predictable, and routine life that could ever be offered to us.

Rather than go back and re-cap all the events of the past few months, let me simply summarize by saying we came home from China in July, enjoyed the summer in Washington, then I had a career change that took us to Montana where I sit here and write this. God is doing great things in our lives and we are anxiously waiting to see what He has in store for us in Montana. The only problem with jumping on the Montana opportunity meant we had to do just that....jump. The very act of jumping means to leave the place you were and it happens quickly. It was not fun leaving our good friends; sometimes being squarely within God's will does not remove the pain associated with change. We were so blessed by God in Dupont. He provided for our every need and though we trust His provision will continue it is tough to leave what He gave us. We will look forward to continuing those friendships for years. We would gladly prefer to experience God's abundant blessing and leave with heavy hearts than live empty and unprovided for though it would make for an easier departure.

I suppose two things will keep our hearts from being too burdened with sadness. One, for our friends to keep their commitments to us for summer visits (hint, hint). I'd hate for them to disobey God and not keep their vacation plans. If they did, I'm sure He would supply the proper discipline. Second, for us to become involved in what God is doing in Missoula, Montana. We do not know what that is yet though we know God will provide direction in His perfect timing. We have earnestly prayed for friends for all of us but namely Abby and the girls. We have also prayed fervently for a good church, good neighbors, good school, ministry opportunities for our family, and an overall God sized purpose for our lives here in Montana. We have other specific prayers for mens fellowship, bible studies, and things like that but I won't bore you with the list. If God is not overwhelmingly present in your life, I apologize. Perhaps He has been a little preoccupied with our monstrous prayer list. I think He provided the church this morning so we can check that one off.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures in this little blog entry. Though I have not explained them, I think you can kinda get the gist of things. Bottom line, we have the three cutest kids on the planet. The joy that those three little bundles give is unbelievable. Kiersten, Madison, and Malea provide laughs by the minute around our household. Whether we are wrestling and giving each other tickle torture or reading stories before bed time we just love spending time together. They are amazing.

God bless each one reading this thing. I must admit, my guilt felt from extreme blogging negligence is satisfied with the writing of this entry. I must warn you it may be a while before I update this again. New years is coming soon so perhaps a new years resolution is in store. Something tells me I kinda doubt it. Oops. I need to run. I think a diaper needs changed.

Thanks for giving us an update on life so far in Montana! We will so miss your family here in DuPont. Abby will especially be missing Maddie. But we know that the Lord has great plans and adventures for your family in Montana. We will be praying especially for those important friendships to develop and grow. And we will be checking in on you this summer as we travel to North Dakota to visit family. And by the way, the house looks AMAZING! Kiersten was right . . . it is HUGE :-)
